Cadiz. Satellite image of Cadiz on the coast of southwestern Spain. North is at top. The city of Cadiz (centre) lies on the tip of the protruding strip of land (white) that shelters the Bay of Cadiz from the Atlantic Ocean. Cadiz is a city and port of the province of Cadiz and is the oldest continuously-inhabited city in western Europe. Also seen is El Puerto de Santa Maria, on the Guadalete River outlet, 10 kilometres north east of Cadiz (on the coast at upper right).
