City of Chester, England. Artistic spring view of Chester’s medieval Old Dee Bridge over the River Dee. Chester City Walls, Bridgegate and the Groves promenade are in the background. Built c1387 the Old Dee Bridge is a Grade 1 Listed ‘Scheduled Ancient Monument’ and an important medieval city landmark. Extending from Bridgegate to Handbridge, the bridge still retains its tollgate post were tolls continued to be charged for crossing until 1885. This photograph has been produced by merging three differently exposed images of the same scene. All of which were captured at approximately the same time - on a tripod mounted camera – and digitally processed to produce the resulting artistic rendition of the scene.
