CANADA LUMBERMAN Widely Known to Lumber Interests One of the men well and worthily known in the lumber arena by reason of his extensive business connection, is Mr. Olivier Napoleon Drouin, president of the Rock City Tobacco Co., Quebec. His firm have for years supplied many logging camps, vans and depots in Can- ada with its products. No less than 5,000,000 lbs. of tobacco are used annually by the Rock City Tobacco Co. in the manufacture of its dif- ferent lines. Mr. Drouin is a director of the D'Auteuil Lumber Co., Limited, Quebec, a live organization of the East, and president of the Descham- bault Quarry Co., a director of the La Banque Nationale, Bonbons Candiac (Canada) Limited, and other business enterprises. Essen- tially a self-made man, Mr. Drouin has won his way to the front by energy, industry and foresight, and has found time from his many active business connections to render public service. He was a mem- ber of the city council in the ancient capital for five years, and. O. N. Drouin, Quebec, rounded out his aldermanic career by being elcted mayor of Quebec, a position which he filled for several terms with credit to himself and satisfaction to the ratepayers. Mr. Drouin was born in Quebec in 1862 and educated in that city. Early in life he gave evidence of the ambition and determination which in later years have contributed so largely to his success. His first experience was in the retail grocery store of his father, and upon the death of the latter he took charge of the estate, although he was only twenty years of age at that time. Later Mr. Drouin founded the wholesale grocery business of Drouin Preres, Limited. Mr. Drouin has always been actively interested in the Good Roads Movement, and is president of the Provincial Roads Commis- sion, the work of which body under his able direction needs no ex- tende
