The Tender to Nave Italia Not-For-Profit Foundation, founded in 2007 by the Yacht Club Italiano and the Italian Navy, supports projects that aim to rehabilitate and improve the quality of life of individuals affected by illness or disability using an entirely original, highly specific and innovative science-based method. The Foundation makes ITALIA, a 61-metre brigantine available for projects proposed by schools, hospitals, not-for-profit associations and other such bodies, to promote inclusivity that will benefit the individuals in their care and their families. In her new role, ITALIA has thus far welcomed 3,136 special passengers aboard in the course of 153 different projects as well as thousands of visitors.
