A Japanese wakizashi, probably mid to late-Kamakura period (1250 - 1300), Blade shinogi-zukuri, deep torii-zori, ko-kissaki after repeated polishing with remains of one suguha hamon. Ko-maru boshi, masame hada, kesho finish. Ubu-nakago with two mekugi-ana and sujikai-yasurime, no inscription, but with characteristics of the Yamato school. Embossed and part-gilt copper niju habaki. Nademarugata shakudo tsuba (modern reworking) with flower decoration on nanako ground.
