A detached bell tower in the churchyard of the Minster Church of St Mary the Virgin, Berkeley: built 1753 on the site of a demolished prebendary church dedicated to Our Saviour and His Saints. The tower contains ten bells. The churchyard contains many fine chest tombs including that of Dicky Pearce, England's last court jester (jester of the Earl of Suffolk) who died during revelry in Berkeley Castle on 18 June 1725 (the sculptor carved 1728 by mistake).
