Empress Elisabeth - a paper weight, in the shape of a crowned group of three dolphins. Silver, partly gilded, with a base of fine figured green marble. Three intertwined dolphins bearing the gilded, imperial Austrian crown on their flukes. Height with base 10 cm. This comes from the period of the Empress' enthusiasm for Greece. In 1892 her castle Achilleion on Corfu was finished, which she named after her favorite hero, Achilles. See the same dolphin group on a wardrobe belonging to the Empress, possibly from her Castle Achilleion on Corfu. Hermann Historica 16,
