A Seljuk bronze mirror,13th century Turkey,Artukid Period or Persian. Cast bronze mirror,the front side of the disk has decoration in relief,a symmetrically arranged portrayal of two lions with human heads and stylised wings(sphinxes ?)bordered with inscription scrolls in Kufic letters expressing good wishes. A central knob,the remains of a handle. The back surface smooth,originally polished. Diameter cm.
