Peaches The Peach is one fruit of which there is seldom, if ever, a crop failure here in the South, and we know of no fruit returning a greater yield than will the Peach if properly cared for. It is not wise to plant a large orchard in Peaches unless one is prepared to practice clean cultivation, careful pruning and thorough spraying at the proper seasons. No home orchard can lay claim to the name, nor is it complete, unless there is a liberal planting of Peach trees, and by selecting varieties in our list it is possible to have quantities of fine fruit during the fruiting period of three months. The trees should be planted approximately r~i twenty feet apart each way, and best results will be had from plantings made in Novem- ber and December, although we have secured excellent results from trees planted as late as April 1st. PRICES—PEACH TREES. FIRST CLASS. 4-5 feet, 50c each; ,0; $ per 100. .00 per ORCHARD SIZE. 2-3 feet, tied in bunches of 10 and sold in multiples of 10, $ per 100; less than 100, 20c each. Early Rose (Cling). One of the most valu- able of the recent introductions; ripens with the earliest; is an extremely free bearer and comes into bearing young. The fruit is roundish, medium to large size and ripens ninety per cent red; is a good keeper and carries well. For several years this is the only early variety that has shown a profit, it is far superior to May- flower. Arp Beauty (Free). Medium size; yellow, mottled with bright crimson; flesh is of rich yellow color and is really of very good quality for an early Peach.
