A. rufigenis seems to have been an early offshoot, or it ^ may merely be distinctive because of its distance from the center of the species' distribution. A. albiceps and nationi, while sharing a common origin from the main branch, are too distinct to be considered allospecies. A. schistaceus seems to repre- sent the main line of e\'olution for this unit. A. pallidiceps and A. leucopteriis are another pair of species that come off a com- mon point but also are too dixergent to be treated as members of a superspecies. Of particular interest are the A. rufinucha species-group and A. schistaceus species-.
