New York Army National Guard Sgt. Zachary Marafioti, a cavalry scout assigned to Alpha Troop, 2nd Squadron,101st Cavalry Regiment, runs in the physical fitness portion of the squadron's Best Warrior Competition in Niagara Falls, New York on May 21. Marafioti placed first in the noncommissioned officer category of the competition, which tested physical fitness and enurance, military knowledge and bearing, and basic Soldier skills.
