Accretion disk around binary star system. Computer illustration of the accretion disk around the binary star system WZ Sagittae (WZ Sge). WZ Sge is a cataclysmic dwarf nova star system that lies in the Sagitta constellation. It consists of a white dwarf primary star that is orbited by a low mass companion star. Using data from the Kitt Peak National Observatory and NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope, a new picture of this system has emerged which includes an asymmetric outer disk of dark matter.
