A ringed Common Gull (Larus canus) is resting on the pier. Thanks to the PVC ring on the leg it is possible to say with certainty that this bird was 14 years old at the time the photo was taken and that it was hatched in the Matsalu Nature Reserve in Estonia. Photographed in Denmark.
