SUEZ CANAL (Dec. 4, 2016) The aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) approaches the Friendship Bridge during a routine, scheduled transit through the Suez Canal. The ship and its carrier strike group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
