Seeds may be sown in a frame in February or March, not much bottom heat being required. The plants may be set out as early as the ground can be worked, as light frosts will not injure them. Set in rows about eighteen inches apart, leaving eight or ten inches between plants. Fpr successive crops, sow every two weeks up to July, ^•^ttuce. Grand Rapids Forcing. This is regarded as the best forcing and shipping variety.
