PATRICK J. WALSH LENGTH OF SERVICE, 53 YEARS 11 MONTHS Patrick. J. Walsh, Section Foreman of the Ty-rone Yard, Tyrone Division, was placed on the Roll of Honor March 1, 1916. He was bornFebruary 17, 1846, at Newport, Ireland. Hesailed from Liverpool and landed in New Yorkon August 15, 1854. Soon afrer his arrival inthis country he located in the vicinity of Tyrone,Pa., with his mother and four other children. At the age of 16 he entered the service of thePennsylvania Railroad Company as Laborer inthe gang in charge of Tyrone Yard. He con-tinued in the capacity of Laborer until February1, 1867, when he was promoted to AssistantForeman in charge of special work on the Belle-fonte and Snow Shoe Railroad. In September ofthe same year he was promoted to Foreman ofTyrone Yard, continuing in this capacity until thetlate of his retirement. He was one of the guardsto accompany several carloads of Railroad Com-pany valuables which were taken to Snow Shoe,Pa., from Altoona, Pa., in 1864, in orde
