In the campaign for municipal improvementbonds he did excellent work. Secretary McAtee is unmarried, andmakes his home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. \V. J. He is the author of various ar-ticles and poems typifying the spiritand enterprise of San Francisco,among the latter being Three Years After, from which the Exposi-tion took its slogan, and The Dust of Frisco Town, written and])ublished immediately after the great fire and subsequently incor-porated in the book of Califor
