Earthquake around Haiti in 2010. 3-D computer model of earthquake activity around Haiti between 12th and 14th Janurary 2010. This model retrieves seismic data from the US Geological Survey Earthquake Hazards Program and renders the information as an animated model and screensaver. It shows a series of earthquakes, represented by circular rings, red dotted shells and numerals, which had an epicentre around the Caribbean island of Haiti. The largest had a magnitude on the Richter scale. It destroyed large areas of the capital city, Port-au-Prince, killed thousands of people and left many more homeless.
