There are now over one hundred thousand square feet of glass devoted entirely to the grow- ing of greenhouse plants, while many acres are devoted to the growing and cultivation of hardy plants. Our stock of decorative plants, Palms, Dracaenas, Pandanus, Ferns, etc., is proliabl}' the most complete in the country,twenty-five large houses being now required for this class of plants alone, while we give close attentioa. to all otlier desirable stock, such as Roses, Azaleas, Camellias, Caladinms, Tuberous-rooted Begonias, Gloxinias, and all bulbous and tuberous-rooted i)lants, New Cannas, Carnations, Double Petunias, Orchids, hai'dy herbaceous jvlants, hardy vines and creepers, such as Clematis, Ampelopsis, Wistaria, etc. The general list has again been carefully revised, and all such varieties rejected as have not proved adajited to orar climate, or that have been superseded by better and newer sorts. Our packing and shipping department has also been greatly improved and enlarged by the addition of a large packing house, 150 x 25 ft., which is fitted with all the latest improvements for the prompt and rapid handling of orders. The sketch at the head of this page is from a jihotograph and represents an every-day scene of activity in this departinent, where plants are being carefully packed for shipment to all parts of the country, at all seasons of the year. We trust with these increased facilities to give even better service than heretofore. We extend a cordial invitation to our friends to visit our nurseries at Riverton, which can be easily reached iic .^0 minutes' time from Philadelphia by hourly trains.
