NORTH DEVON, UK: POWERFUL pictures taken by a postman shows how a kingfisher makes the most of the chance to catch fish before winter closes in. Diving into the river at speeds of up to 70-miles-per-hour the fish, this magnificent native-British bird feeds on do not stand a chance. Local postie and amateur wildlife photographer Rob Cross (48) from Bideford in North Devon has spent hundreds of hours observing this much-loved bird from the banks of the River Torridge.
