Early television (1920's-30s) - An unusual photograph of a family group watching an early Baird Televiser. The home constructed mechanical-scan television receiver produced a picture using a spinning metal ' Nipcow' disk with holes in it, whilst a lamp produced a 48 line scan to initially produce a poor dim orange image inches square, at frames per second.
