This was at first only audible in the lieadphones. Ax Cobourg, 70 miles from ^., the loudspeaker was connected and the concert could be heard in thevicinity of the set. The volume gradually grew louder asthe distance decreased. When the train reached Oshawa,,S4 miles from the broadcasting station, the reception couldbe heard loudly and distinctly for four or five seats around.
