Boab Tree (Adansonia gregorii) by limestone cliffs of the Napier Range, Windjana Gorge, Bandilngan National Park, West Kimberley
Bandilngan National Park on Bunuba Country lies just off the Gibb River Road in the West Kimberley. Windjana Gorge cuts through the limestone Napier Range, a remnant part of the limestone Devonian Reef and one of the easiest places to spot Freshwater Crocodiles. (Crocodylus johnsonii). Adansonia gregorii is the only Australian boab and is endemic to nerthwest Australia. The tree has important indigenous cultural signficance.
