Thenotable successes achieved by such a body in practically all the leading miiversitiesthroughout the country were brought to the attention of Mr. Estabrook, with theresult that, at this writing, its establishment is assured. A governing student body wields tremendous influence and power. It aidsthe student in countless ways. Wrongs and grievances are rectified; undesirablestudents are warned to mend their rways or face expulsion; insubordination ispromptly met with by stern measures; unscrupulous and thieving students areforced to leave, and in a host of other ways the governing bod\ makes itspresence felt.
