A silver-mounted Caucasian kinjal, dated 1917, Double-edged blade with offset fullers on both sides and smith's mark on the obverse. The ornamentally engraved and nielloed, part-gilt silver handle with two studs on the obverse. Heavy silver scabbard nielloed and engraved en suite with the grip, the reverse side of the locket with nielloed maker's signature and date "(1)335" (=1907). Length 56 cm.
