Bronchitis is an inflammatory disease of the bronchi leading to cough with production of sputum. Endoscopy or bronchial fibroscopy) is used to examine the bronchial mucosa. Here the mucosa is red with an oversecretion of mucus, a typical aspect in acute bronchitis (absence of tumor, stricture, foreign body).
