Excavated villas, Alexandria, Egypt. These excavations are taking place at the site of the British Consulate, uncovering villas from the Hellenistic (Ptolemaic) period. This is the period from 305-30 BC. Here, floors of the villas are seen together with pillars of concrete bored to form the foundations of the Consulate.
