The samedignified beauty is apparent whether youlook at the challenging head of Betty May,the eloquently poised Lillian Shelley, theexquisite feminine grace of Meum withthe fan, the characterfulness oi An AmericanSoldier. But the secret which makes thegreatness of these busts is the same as ofthe Christ figure, and that is that Life andArt are reconciled, and are one. And inthis sense, these works are eternal. 0.
