Gosford Street, Coventry, 1941. The bomb damaged premises of H Godfrey, Tailor and Outfitter, at 112 Gosford Street showing a man sweeping the pavement at the front of the shop and the access to White Friars Lane to the right of frame. Coventry City centre was devastated by air raids on 14th November 1940. The bombing raids left the nearby cathedral in ruins and destroyed much of the historic fabric of the city.
