He was admitted to theFirst Officers Training Camp at Fort Sher-idan, Fifteenth Company. After twomonths study there he v/as transferred tothe Aviation Section, and ordered toChampaign, 111., for instruction. Uponcompletion of the course, he was commis-sioned a second lieutenant and orderedoverseas, sailing in January, 1918. Aftera period of training in France, LieutenantOrr was sent to the front in July, participating in all the engagementsof the 1 2th Squadron, Lieutenant Orr andhis observer. Lieutenant Allan C. Good-ale, met with a fatal mishap on the thirdday of the St. Mihiel offensive, when theirplane crashed into a captive balloon cableand fell, killing both instantly. Lieuten-ant
