Twostrap irons, L, were bolted to the side bar of the truck. Thesewere bent back under the truck and an oak board, 0 bolted totheir lower ends over the rail. Angle irons R, were boltedto the board and set screws thru these held the brushes inplace. ihe brushes were constructed by cutting #20 steel wire into lengths of 3-3/4, and soldering them together at oneend, as shown in Fig. 3.
