Polished sculptures of two Arab men wearing traditional kanduras in the lobby of Radisson Blu Media City in Dubai, UAE.
The Kandura, also known as thawb, thobe, or dishdasha, is the traditional male outfit in the United Arab Emirates. This loose-fitting robe, usually white in color, is typically accompanied with a gutrah, a headscarf held in place with an ornate headband called the agal. The length of the robe represents the status of the person within the society.
