He had anarrow escape from being captured by the FIRST LIGHT BATTERY, isci-isor, 703 GEORGE STEVENS, of Guilford, Conn., enlisted and mustered in July2 1, 1862; transferred to the United States Navy A])ril 28, 1864;served on the United vStates ships General Putnam, Malvern andMiami; honorably discharged October 26, 1865.
