Tliis dam is shown byPL XI, Fig. 2 after being damaged by the floods of 1916. PI. XII, Fig. 1shows the headgate at the same point. PI. IX, Fig. 2 shows a divisionand control gate on one of the ditches and the general character of thespreading ground. A stream of about 30 second-feet is diverted at theupper headgate and less at the lower gates. Streams of 20 or 30 minersinches are taken from the main ditches and the water is induced to coveras much ground surface as possible.
