Pennsylvania Railroad locomotive. Steam locomotive number 3467 on the Octoraro Branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR), near Brandywine Summit, Pennsylvania, USA. This railroad was founded in 1846. The Octoraro Branch was built in the late 1860s. Engine 3467 was an example of the PRR K4 class of steam locomotives (4-6-2 Pacific type). The PRR K4s were built between 1914 and 1928. They included the distinctive headlight on the front of the locomotive above the smokebox door. Steam locomotive use on the Pennsylvania Railroad ended in 1957. Photographed by David H.
