Belgian and American officers interrogate a spy suspect who is accused of communicating with a German machine gun site. Belgian officer, Lt. Van Gest of the Belgian Police, conducts the questioning. American officers present include Lt. C. C. Mason, Capt. Hopkins (in charge of the Prisoner of War enclosure), and Lt. A. Roosevelt, the interpreter. The photograph was taken in Wortheghem, Belgium on November 3, 1918. Officially released by the Censor on December 23, 1918.
