Forestry management in Glen Ample. Trossachs National Park, Scotland.

Forest plantations being partially cleared in Glen Ample. Part of sustainable forestry management in the Trossachs National Park. A scenic valley that today is a site of forestry activity. Conifer forests cover the banks of the glen, with bare areas where trees have been cleared for wood. The glen runs south-north. An old herders track now used by hikers and mountain bikers runs along the edge of valley floor. It was once used to connect the villages and crofts on the banks of Loch Lubnaig to the south and Loch Earn to the north.
