Here the ground floor and basement of above numbers are wellstocked with dry and fancy goods, clothing, hats and caps, and mens furnishing goods. It is thelargest store of its kind in North Minneapolis, and the presence of such a store is a great convenienceto the residents of this part of the city. They carry good goods, such as are demanded by buyers inthat part of the city. The rapid growth of their business led to the establishment of a branch in N. Westward He 106 RESOURCES OF MINNESOTA. Minneapolis in 1885. In January, 1886, the store at West Superior, Wis., was established. In thethree stores a stock valued at $45,000 is carried, and the annual sales exceed $100,000. Nine clerks,besides the proprietors, are required to attend to the wants of the business. For many years he wasengaged in business in Janesville, Wis., but recognizing the value of Minneapolis as a trade centerwisely decided to cast his fortunes with the progress of the Flour City. C. J. REEVES, Meat Market, Shops, 731 Tenth Street South and 732 Fourteenth Street East—This cosy market was opened some years ago, and purchased by the present owner in 1887. Underthis gentlemans management it has been greatly improved. Mr. Reeves runs a market that is thedelight of the housewife.
