The Statue of Old Father Thames at St John's Lock, Lechlade, Gloucestershire, England


This statue and plaque were originally commissioned for the Crystal Palace in London, in 1854. It marked the head of the Thames at Trewsbury Mead from 1959-1974 and was subsequently moved to oversee pleasure boaters passing through St John's lock at Lechlade, Gloucestershire.
