Aaron Cleveland, Grover Cleve-lands great-great-grandfather, was born inMassachusetts, but subsequently moved toPhiladelphia, where he became an intimatefriend of Benjamin Franklin, at whosehouse he died. He left a large family ofchildren, who in time married and settledin different parts of New England. Agrandson was one of the small Americanforce that fought the British at BunkerHill.
