London, England - 2011; Here are two great landmarks by the Thames in London - old and new in contrast. St Paul's Anglican Cathedral, dating from the late 17th century, was designed in the English Baroque style by Sir Christopher Wren. Its great dome is a London and international landmark. Running from there to Tate Modern on the other side of the river is the Millennium Bridge. This is a futuristic steel suspension bridge for pedestrians crossing the River Thames in London, linking Bankside with the City of London.
