Pater Vink toer


Father Vinken Tower. Father Vink was one of 5 men convicted of treason during the Eighty Years War (1568-1648). The five were beheaded and their heads were displayed on the tower as an example to the people. The street running along the city wall at this point is still called "the Five Heads"
