In the distance a fire cracker is set off The youth often respond by shining lasers at soldiers to disorient them. For the 9th consecutive night Palestinian youth have defiantly come out in protest against Israel's aggression in Gaza, dubbed Operation: Protective Edge, as well as simmering tensions at the military occupation in the West Bank and Gaza. 9 Palestinian youth were injured, one was hit in the foot with a live bullet. Israeli soldiers were very quick to crack down on stone throwing youth, firing volleys of tear gas from armored jeeps, "skunk water", rubber bullets, along with live bullets from M-16's, as well as sound bombs.
