Bhairon Pol, Chittorgarh Fort, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. The Chittorgarh fort was known as Chittor and was the capital of Mewar kingdom. To enter in to the Fort Of Chittorgarh, the person has to go through seven huge gates (Pols). This is the second entrance gate. This gate was reconstructed by Maharana Fateh Singh. All the gateways to the fort have been built as massive stone structures with secure fortifications for military defense. The doors of the gates with pointed arches are reinforced to fend off elephants and cannon shots.
