Before Friday noon prayers during the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims, Israeli soldiers invaded the Palestinian West Bank village of Kafr Qaddum. Israeli soldiers stationed themselves along the main village’s road, in the hopes of quashing the weekly demonstrations against Israeli illegal settlements by the local villagers. Palestinian youth responded to the soldiers’ presence by throwing stones and bottles. Israeli soldiers threw stun grenades directly into civilian homes. Later, Israeli soldiers used what is called “skunk water”, a foul smelling chemical water, to spray homes and the streets in Kafr Qaddum. This is the second time during Friday on Ramadan that clashes have erupted in Kafr Qaddum. (Photo by Anna Ferensowicz / Pacific Press)
