Pedro Mi^-uel.—Pedro Miguel lies at the southend of the Cut, and on the opposite bank fromCulebra. I visited it on the 26th May, and was metby Mr Mitchell, the sanitary inspector. Crossingthe locks we reached a lake, formed by the partialblockage of the Rio Grande. On the sides of thelake are four large oil-tanks belonging to the SanitaryDepartment.
