SOUTH CHINA SEA (Nov. 10, 2016) Lance Corporal Carlo Fernandez, the youngest Marine aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25), eats a ceremonial slice of cake during a ceremony celebrating the 241st birthday of the Marine Corps. Somerset, part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, is operating in the 7th Fleet area of operations, with the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, in support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
