ROSES OF RECENT the most notable Rose that has beenrecently introduced is a pure white Hybrid Per-petual, a great improvement in form and colouron Merveille de Lyons. This variety has receivedfrom its eminent raiser the name of Frau Karl estimated. Now that it has been so manifestlytranscended by a Ro3e of greater purity derivedfrom its vigorous self, it will take a secondaryposition, its proper place. It had, in any instance,already been surpassed by a much more valuableRose for the garden, perhaps the grandest of allvarieties for impressive effect, viz., MargaretDickson.
