Ottley, just plainJerry to many of the Saints through-out the Mission, came to New Zealandwith his parents, President and SisterSidney J. Ottley, in October, to being called to labour in theconstruction office at the College,Elder Ottley attended the Auckland 246 TE KARERE Grammar School. At Hui Tau, 1953,he was ordained an elder and set apartas a proselyting missionary. He wasassigned as a district travelling elderin the Whangarei and Bay of Islandsdistricts. Later on he was transferredto the Mission Office to take over. the position of Mission Sunday Schoolsuperintendent. He served faithfullyand diligently in this capacity the re-mainder of his mission. Elder Ottleys greatest accomplish-ments lie in the field of music. Talentedand interested in music, he organizedand conducted an elders quartette,which was acclaimed wherever it ap-peared. He also arranged much of themusic for this group. Like all the missionaries called tolabour in New Zealand, Elder Ottleysprime objective was to serve—and thishe did—and this he will continue todo throughout his life. His plans atpresent are to attend the BrighamYoung University and to continue hisstudies in music. Good luck, Jerry, andGod bless you. TRANSFERS . . ELDER ORLO K.
