C, September 17, 1906, the adult appearing October 5th. Gall. The deformed head produced by this species is about 11 cm in diameter and 3 cm high. It is composed of a number of smaller heads united in one large bunch. The free edges of many of the leaves project above the more solid mass by half to three-fourths of their length. Female. Length 6 mm. Antennae extending to the second abdominal segment, sparsely haired, dark red; 24 to 25 segments,.
